Nope! Not a single one here!

We're usually pestered with them in the roof, as they easily get in, and some of the nests were as big as a football!

JRT tries to eat them too, which is annoying, as we have to dose her with Piriton each time...

Fingers crossed for this year anyway!

We have a few buzzing round the plum tree in my neighbours garden and I saw a few on the plot last time I was there, again interested in fruit trees.

There are not many around, but we have had loads of honey and bumble bees visiting.  Wonder where all the wasps have gone  ???

We’ve had lots of bees too.  Lots of different shapes, colours and sizes.

Same here, a few wasps but not many. A decent number of bees though, especially around my pumkin plants.

Lots of wasps doing the breast stroke in the jam jars!  At least I'm managing to keep them away from the new bee colony. :)

Cheers,  Tony.

that' funny you should mention wasps because your rite haven't seen many round here either usually there round the plumb tree in droves but not this year not like last year when we where laying  a new driveway the three of us all got stung as the wasps had a nest in an old wall next to where we where working

Wasps are a rarity here, and this year is no exception - not complaining!  :)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

There are some good wasps, as well as the ones that we all wish would stay elsewhere.

If you do see really small wasps, those are the good ones!  They are called parisitoid wasps, and they prey upon other insects that are often pests.  SO, if your wasps return later on, I hope they are the 'good guys'!

I saw some in May/June time buzzing around the roof near the back door where there used to be a nest but haven't seen them since. Have lots of bees all over the flowers.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Had one wasp nest in the shed by the wood store and one in some bins up the allotment I just left them to it and now both nests appear to be done for the year.

Yes, we've noticed so many bees around, they seem to love the sunflowers!

Some tree bumblebees love our bird nesting box, but they've gone now sadly as they are gorgeous little chaps, and I was told to watch out for them lekking, but missed out on that little escapade!

Not as many as last year, but at least one finds its way into our house everyday... so the little beggars are still about!
