Hi All,

Last year I planted a small Victoria Plum tree and in 2011 I planted a small Cox apple tree.
This year they have both got some blossom on them.

I have never grown Plums or Apples before, does Blossom mean I will get fruit this Autumn?

Assuming that the blossom gets fertilised, and there are no frosts to damage it, then probably yes.

There will need to be other suitable varieties growing nearby for them to be pollinated.

Victoria is self fertile, so as long as there's no frost damage - you should get some fruit this year 
As it is still young, don't let it bear too many or it won't fruit next year.

The Cox will need pollination to set any fruit at all.
