Fridge packs are the way forward now as you can take a bit at a time and keep the rest for later. Then recycle the plastic container for a storage jar  ;)

I just store it in any placcy container that comes to hand (old marge tub)..no need to pay more for the beans than you have to  ;)

and for some reason they don't taste the same when microwaved, i like them done in a saucepan, bubbling nicely, then for a real treat grate some cheese on top - heaven  :D

Me too.  But cold straight from the tin is a great delicacy too. :blush:

I used to love frying a couple of rashers and then throwing the beans into the frypan as well :)

Needless to say, I don't do it now cos of the fat intake!  :ohmy:

baked beans in the frypan then chuck on and mix in a bunch of skinned toms, fry the mix on a high heat until disgusting.   Sheer ambrosia.

cold baked beans     i always have a couple of spoon fulls after i have tipped them in the saucepan     and before i warm them up      lovely i think they taste better cold.
