the close season is a bit out dated i think the fish are still breeding in july.when they lifted it on the canals many moons ago it made no difference to stocks what so ever.i do believe in banning keep nets though except in matches.

i do as well ,i remember the days of the knotted net and the damage it did to mirror carp on the pompey rivers

i remember them things aswell.you get some chaps fishing for 12-14 hours with a keep net in all day long,whats the point ?
