Please feel free to hijack it.

I hijacked it from Raymond Blanc many years ago. ;)

No dear, a crumble is a crumble and a pie is a pie. Both are beautiful in their own way. ::)

There is a time for a crumble  and a time for a fruit pie, with custard or cream or ice cream.

There is a time for a bottomless pie with puff, or a double crust with short crust, or potato pastry, or a pie with filo.  With steak or steak and kidney, or pork and apple, or chicken and ham or mushroom, or rabbit and bacon. All are nutritious and tasty.

Variety is the spice of life. Let us not break bread with a missionary. ::)

I'm not buying it  ::)

Crumble is unrolled pie.
Pie with no bottom is upside-down quiche.  :tongue2:
quiche is pie with no top.

.... and don't get me started on the identify crisis going on with a lattice work tart  :lol:
