We have been thinking about a rotovator for a while now-  the local animal food place has one a 4hp for 275€  it has been for sale for a long time-  so makes me wonder is it worth it!  If it were a bargain I am sure it would have been snapped up by now.

I'd be checking the size and weight. How easy is it to transport and handle? How easy to steer, reverse, turn? What about spares?  The make of engine is important, lots of people on here who can advise about good and bad points.

hi will the feed place let you take the machine to try?if not try hiring  different types engine over tine Merrytiller type or wheel drive with rear rotavator husqavarna  lawnflite have reversable tines so that if the soil is heavy the wheels pull the machine the rotors cut inthe opposite direction to travel they are about 6 hp,depending on engine manufacturer the cc and horse power can vary    jezza
