morning all,

was having a think about whats being planted where on the lotty next year...have had conflicting info about what the spuds should follow from this year.. some sites say before onions some say after. Is there a link for a definite answer i had a look round but couldnt find one.

but nothing is set in stone, as long as you don't follow a crop with the same thing again, it doesn't really matter.

Not everyone grows the same things or even all the things on the plan, so you find over time the plan that suits you :)

The main thing I remember with potatoes is not to plant where the Tomatoes have been or near them for blight reasons. x

I normally just keep potatoes/tomatoes from being in the same place on subsequent years. Same with brassicas, and put the legumes (beans etc) in somewhere that may be a bit 'tired' after having had greedy crops on it in previous years. Beyond that it doesn't really matter IMO as long as you change things up (unless you have actually noticed a specific disease in a specific place - e.g. onion white rot).
