Hi ,can anyone give me any advice on saving last seasons tulip bulbs.I have taken them out of there large pots and  are now in a  tray in the shed some have divided will they be worth saving . :unsure:Thanks for any help.

Hi muckyboots,  depends what you want to save them for. 

I wouldn't re-use them in your pots, as there will be fewer and smaller flowers next year, and you'll be disappointed with them. I'd buy new bulbs for your pots to be sure of a good display, where they're very much on show. 

Re-planted somewhere permanent in your garden and left in each year, they will probably do fine for years as a garden tulip, and delight you every spring with some flowers. The smallest ones will need to build back up though, before they flower again.

I've done this for several years now, new ones for the tub each year, and then re-plant somewhere in the garden for subsequent years.

Hi ,thanks gardener I thought as much. I will do as you suggested and plant them in the garden and buy new for next year for the pots.
