This fine flower appeared in a friends garden, and I want it!


Can anyone tell me what its name is and how to propagate it?

Is it a pink Foxtail Lily (Eremurus)

Thanks for that Mum, it certainly looks similar but its less than two foot in height.  Those on the web are tall, or very very tall.

Now I have a name I can search for how to save the seeds.   Cheers,   Tony.

Liatris maybe? i have white that look similar

Yup Liatris spicata 

You do see them in the herbaceous perennial sections of garden centres, but they are cheaper to buy as bulbs    They'll be in the garden centres around January when the summer flowering bulbs arrive.
