Title: Hello from Worcestershire.
Post by: TonyB. on October 12, 2018, 15:19
Hi all

I have been growing veg in limited space for a number of years but on retirement have taken on an allotment. A guy was not able to cope with the whole plot anymore so gave up half, half being 42 X 45 ft. It was divided into small beds. The weed were about 4 or 5 ft tall and they had germinated on 3 or 4 inches of bark which had started to compost. Worse still the roots were matted and the bark rested on polythene. 3 months of work and it is finally cleared.
I tried loading pictures but the files are too large apparently.
Good news I think, unlike my garden which is clay this is sandy and having cleared the weeds it is so much easier to dig.
Looking forward to growing more varieties than I could fit in the garden.
