What colour should this stuff be, brown or white?

Sounds like mine too. Reason I'm asking is that the info given to me said that the whiter it is the more silica is in it and it's not as effective or safe. Yet another site I was looking at said it should be white, if it isn't there is clay in it and it's not so good, talk about confused-dot-com.  ::)
Onywize I've bought 5kg and will need ot use it, fingers crossed it's good stuff. :)

there are several grades of DE including food grade. Mine is a grey colour too  :D

i use Hemexsan powder, Its the Same stuff just a different name and a LOT cheaper. GrannieAnnie  mentioned it a Looong time ago and have been using it ever since it comes in 25kg bags.

That is cheap!! I got mine from here as they were the cheapest I could fine. I have no where to store 25kg so opted for the 5kg.
Is this not advertising, are we allowed to do this?  :unsure:
