i would like to know if when you grow potatoes in a used compost bag what  mixture of soil/ multi purpose compost etc. or is it neat soil or neat multi purpose compost :?

and also how many peeps use supermarket spuds instead of the seed ones

cheers

jr

I plan to use multipurpose compost (been wondering if it's worth mixing with soil, but don't want weeds).

I also plan to buy seed potatoes, just so I know what I'm getting  , and also so I'm sure risk of disease is minimal.
Our potatoes from Riverford are great but I've no idea what variety they are - just that they're white and taste great :)

Trying organic gardening. Hoping to stick to it.
