« on: August 03, 2013, 13:52 »
Well I've gone and done it...been to Wilko's this morning and got 2 x 30 bottles white and a black cherry 6 bottles. I also treated myself to another 25 lts FV. So I'm going to be busy this afternoon.  :D

That looks like a King Keg barrel for beer to me, but I may have a restricted view.

Well done Capt! Was it discounted at your Wilkos too?

Really wish I could find some reviews as I'd like to buy another couple while it's still on offer.  :)

BobE....It's Wilkos own 25lts FV, like a big bottle, but with a screw top like a KK...it's the top it does look like a King Keg...their FV buckets are £9 ish...so for another £5 you get a far better FV in my humble opinion
I use cornie kegs for my ale Bob.

Auntiemogs.... It was discounted.. £20,  last year I did a couple of wine kits but they were in the £65/70 price range, a lot of money when you think about it...that works out at over £2 a bottle.....ok that's still less than what we pay in the local supermarket for a bottle of wine, but the idea behind home made is to brew it for less

I wonder how long it'll be on offer???

I use C7 kits, £1 a bottle, better than supermarket £7 wines.  The Italian red is smooth and lovely.  I'm trying to keep some in deep archive.

Until they run out I suspect!   :D  A couple of reviews on here that seem to be positive  :),  so I may pop back next week.  http://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/viewforum.php?f=59

Next on my list is BobE's C7 kits.  Even with postage, they're just over £1 a bottle, which is a bargain!

From where you are up to here would cost you a bob or two in fuel Auntie....

One of the 30 bottle kits is now tucked up in the brew fridge, and I'm going to make the cherry kit tomorrow.

Male ambitions.
1.  Beer fridge in own workshop.
2.  Brew fridge in own brewery.

Just simple wishes really.
