Went into B&Q and they had some ex-display sheds on sale for £50 each, buyer dismantles. There were 2 8x4 sheds which is what I am after for my allotment (one chicken house, one shed). So I spoke to the manager and offered £80 for both and he said yes!
Very please, picking them up on Sunday. Just got to work out how on earth to dismantle a shed (I have never even put one up before!) and how to get them to the plot which is about 3 miles away from the store. I drive a Ford KA and don't reckon they will go in that!
So if you see a lady walking along the redways of MK with a B&Q trolley with 2 sheds on, that will be me :D

What a bargain, well done. Its a pity you dont know anyone with a large van and put them on there assembled.
We changed plots about 18 months ago ( thats a story for anohter day) and we carried our shed from our old plot to the new one, luckily it was just a few feet away.
Good luck, and i hope your chickens enjoy their new home

Well done that really was a bargain. Good luck with the new sheds.

My 6x4 went on a roof rack. It stuck out a bit though

I suddenly remembered that a friend of mine has one of those people wagon things. I asked if she still had it and she does so we are going to put it in there.
Just the dismantling to go now.

I have a Zafira people carrier/bus thing (don't get one they're sh...) and I think you will be hard pressed to get the panels of both sheds into the back. In fact, I'd say there's no chance.
Do you know anyone with a van? Failing that, you can hire one at a couple of good hire companies for extremely reasonable rates... I can recommend Enterprise.
And no, I don't work for them!

OH.
That is very depressing for me! Fingers crossed for tomorrow will let you know.

If it won't go in the people carrier there are always ads in the Gazette for man and van movers. You might just have to bite the bullet and pay for one.
