rusty water butt

Hi everyone, it's been a while since i've posted. busy busy..

On my allotment, there is an old barrel that has been used as a water butt, and it's full of water at the moment. I went to use some just the other day, for the first time, but when I ladled some water off the top with my bucket I noticed loads of rust in the water as well. Should I use this water, or would it have an ill effect on my plants?

seems to suggest rusty water is ok.

I'd dilute it a lot if its very dark.

OK, that's a bit bizarre...the viagra.

i think i'll try to avoid the rusty water, because there's not really an excess of lime in the soil, and surely the vegetables would need what's there??

empty the barrel now and then stick a plastic sheet inside it? :idea: water will be clean then
