Best for a polytunnel
« on: May 18, 2012, 19:19 »
Our plot at the allotment has come with half of a rather large polytunnel, apart from tomatos and pepper what else would do well in here as its looking a bit bare.

A few first early spuds??

I know it's getting on now but no harm in trying....

And that 'poly growing book everyone mentions, we got it and now have an idea on how to make full use of ours.

HTH, Goldfinger  ;)

I've got sweetcorn, celeriac, celery, carrots, various types of lettuce, pak choy, beetroot, tomatoes, cucumber, peppers, strawberries and turnip in mine. They just grow so much more quickly, especially in this cool weather. Will be adding aubergine and melon as soon as they're ready to go in

Right now in my tunnel I'm cropping lettuce, radish, new spuds. And I've got peppers, aubergines, chillis, tomatoes, chard, beetroot, kohl rabi, carrots, celery, celeriac, spring onion, early mange tout, strawberries growing very nicely in the beds. Strawberries are almost ready to pick :)

The cucumbers and melons will be going in there this weekend.

currently cropping broad beans and peas as well as most salad items wioth new potatoes almost ready. Usual toms, cues, peppers, aubs and squash in ground. Also using space in PT as overflow from GH for bedding plants, runner bean and dwarf bean plants, sweetcorn and celery plants etc
