Overwintered Peppers

I know there's been a recent discussion on over wintering chillies

I thought it might be helpful to share my experience on over wintering peppers plants and how not to prune! The varieties were Lipstick and Slovakia (5 in total) although the labelling got muddled. They were left in a cool bedroom -last year I tried the porch but none of them made it through the winter.

1) Plants Hard Pruned in Early March. Failed to produce growth from the buds-they tried but failed 



2) Plants lightly pruned in early March



3) Peppers sown early March 2015 (Admittedly in need of a feed judging by the colour)



I'm looking forward to peppers much earlier in the season than last year

I prune mine back when I lift and pot them in late Autumn

I want a greenhouse!!! 

Try a hard prune in Oct/Nov this year so the plant has time to put a little new growth on
