New to growing
« on: August 12, 2012, 15:59 »
I started this year with two 2mtr X 2 mtr raised beds in the garden, grown some early potatoes and carrots and beans so far, this week I cleared most of the area and put in some brussels and purple sprouting brocoli, also some swede, carrot and perpetual spinach seeds, after looking at the web site I think I was a little late, can I expect to get anything this winter or was I wasting my time?

Welcome to the Site :)
Spinach and carrots should be ok unless you are in the far north of the country.
(It would help us if you put a location in your profile, it can make a lot of difference  ;) )

The other sowings are much too late, as you suspected.

Thanks for that, maybe next year, need a better plan, weather seemed to be a bit of a hinderance this year, the website and forums will help a lot.

You'll need a different plan next year - the weather's bound to be different  ;)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
