Agree with Salmo - don't oversoak them or they could rot (if you are then going on to pre-germinate them make sure the paper you use is no more than damp, for the same reason.)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

And....... having said I'd pre-chit / soak mine first today I stuck my French beans straight into modules - Had a change of plan and no time to wait to in they went.  :tongue2:

I have a whole jar full of saved seeds so if they don't appear I can try again.

Snap Paul.  I've had some runners chitting in the propagator for 10 days now and barely a sprout.  So I bunged some in modules this evening just to see what would happen. 

Let me know when they come through (been chitting my french beans as long as the runners and nothing)...

I just put them in a jar of water. If you want to wait until a chit appears tip the water off once they are swollen, they then have enough water to germinate.
