Another Broody Hen Question
« on: August 02, 2007, 21:29 »
Currently have a broody hen sat on some guinea fowl eggs - however if they do not hatch by this weekend I'm afraid they are a duff batch.  What should I do next?

Take the eggs away and allow her to sit on some more?
Or just take the eggs away?

Shes made no attempt to kick any eggs out and currently keeps attacking like a right proper broody if I try to investigate - got the scars to prove it.

Any advice gratefully received :)

leave em 3 days over the expected time and then chuck her off ,dump the eggs ,leave it till next year or if you can give her a new clutch of truly inseminated eggs then go again
