I believe they are excellent table birds should they start mugging you Joy.

let them out this morning and the cockerels ran for cover the cowards 
One of my bravest girls went to have a go at them but soon got put in her place so it looks like the guineas will be ruling the roost here. One trots along as the hens do but the other bounces like a kangaroo 
Don't worry HF I have already thought of roast guinea fowl so if one is a girl and the other a boy perhaps next year that will be on the menu

What a fab surprise

well so far besides terrorising the hens and cockerels they have met the dogs (who in turn had a little go at trying to terrorise them - very short lived when the dogs discovered these things can fly) they have been down the bridleway and also discovered that nobody can reach them when they fly up onto the roof of the lorry shed (which is almost as high as the house). Hopefully things should settle down in a few days time   
They are wonderful but I'm still not sure what sex they are
