My little Pekin duck JUST hatched! I'm so excited but so worry because I dont know what exactly to do now.

He's still in the incubator, laying flat. But he's trying to move around and get up. Should I just leave him like he is?
Am I suppose to keep him in the incubator until he's fully or mostly dry?

Ahh!!  :D  :D  :D  :D

Hi,
Not an expert but hatched a batch of gorgeous Campbells a month ago. Left them in the incubator for a couple of hours but took them out pretty much as soon as they were dry and fluffy. found that if I left them longer they actually seeed to be overheating. Started lying flat and panting and were much more active and interested in the world at a couple of degrees cooler. Obviously kept them under heat for a while.

Congratulations, I love my babies.

Kate
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.
