Title: elderflower cordial
Post by: lucywil on June 04, 2007, 13:49
after 2 atempts at making the above i found some elderflowers that didn't smell of cat pee, improvised on the recipe, used orange instead of lemon and voila, 24 hour later i have a drink just like nan used to make.

ok, my point is if it is so easy to make why the hell is it so expensive in the supermarkets?

sorry seem to be in one of those moods today!!!

Answer - I bet your packaging is not so attractive, and you've not added carbon to the atmosphere by transporting it to the supermarket!

I've just accidentley discovered a great mixer for elderflower cordial - strong white cider!

Much more 'effective' than sparkling mineral water, but just as refreshing.

I hope you made the cider yourself and didn't cause embarassment amongst the customers at your local looking for fine wines from the Lord of The Manors French vineyards

It was a big bottle of White Lighting actually!

All my juice has gone except for a couple of frozen gallons of crab apple juice to mix with juice from early eating apples.

Wine at mid day in hot weather is too heavy going for me these days.
