Ideally, I would have planted the bulbs by now - last month or early this. I'd get them in the ground as soon as possible. :)

Definitely plant them now. Tulips and other spring bulbs need time to set their roots for spring flowering otherwise you'll get only green growth and no or tiny flowers.

Although it is late, think of it this way

Plant late and maybe all will be well

Don't plant them at all and no flowers at all  ;)

I buy bulbs in the autumn, and forget to plant them, each and every year!  So they always go in in January, and so far, have had reasonable results.  I'd say 'go for it'! :)

Get them in now.

They really ought have gone in during the autumn. No point planting them when they should be flowering!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Definitely need to get a wriggle on if you are going to plant them for this spring. Our's in the garden are 5 or 6 inches tall.

But that's in Wales. And there are earlier and later flowering tulips and all that stories.

CHUCK THEM IN ASAP! :D
