25p plants in homebase
« on: July 26, 2009, 19:01 »
Hubby popped in and saw that all strawberries, peppers and chillis were down to 25p a plant, not that I needed more but we got some. They are fine, bit small but nothing else wrong with them

Not sure if it is all branches but would be worth a look  :D

Definitely worth a look.  Think I will pop over to my local one tomorrow to see.  Especially as I am thinking of making a strawberry bed on my plot!  Could be great timing!

No they didn't have any.  The only things on offer were tomatoes which were reduced from 2.99 to 1.49 and peppers can't remember how much they were but not a massive 25p bargain unfortunately.

Maybe my one will do it a bit later?  They did have some big strawberry plants but these were about £4.

Yes I will definitely go back again early next week to see if there is any development on the cheap plants.  I will let you know!

Our local one was the same as yours Elcie. The only cheap plants looked like they were actually dead/dying and they weren't even that cheap really!! They know how to look after their plants though in these stores don't they  :D

Will check back another time though as they still had loads of full price strawberries that did look very healthy (to be fair to them!!)
