morning everyone

my photinia red robin has brown patches all over the leaves, bith the red and green ones.
the new leaves as they are coming out are free from patches, but once they get a bit bigger they also are developing the patches. I can't see any insects/crawlies on the leaves, so i'm assuming its systemic....
anyone else had experience of this, and if so what did you do?

any advice appreciated.... i want to try and save it if i can! :)

Me too! Have just looked in the RHS book of Pests and Diseases but nothing in there. Googled it and found RHS site saying that they are not fully hardy in the UK and the purple-brown spots may be a response to some physiological stress problem such as winds, frost and cold, wet winters. Feed and add organic matter to aid drainage and thin out some top growth to encourage younger, sturdier growth. Will go and do same to mine when the rain stops.  :)
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.
