We are replacing one of our paving slab paths with one made from bricks alternated with bits of stone from the lottie. My OH is kindly edging both sides with wood recycled from old pallets.  Downside will be having to treat it with weedkiller occasionally. But its the being frugal that appeals to me ..... the paving slabs will go further down to divide a couple of newly dug plots. And it's given me something to do while it's been too wet to dig ... !!!
