A large round terracotta pot is stuck inside a very old and beautiful square one, and I cannot free them up.
The round one has a rim around the top which is about 2" deep and it is stuck up to that point.
How can I separate them without causing a breakage if poss (especially to the old square one).
All advice welcome please. regards, Mrs Bouquet

If you turn them upside down, can you poke something through the drainage hole to push them apart?

As mum says or turn it upside & shake it, or can you slide a plastic bag between them then turn upside & shake

Done it, thanks for your help. they were so heavy, and one had a load of gravel in it. Managed to gently turn them over, and then smashed my shin (see what I have lost today thread ). Stuck a bean cane down the hole, and they freed up. Then the bean cane got stuck. Anyway, all done, now to decide where to put the round one.
The square one is too fragile, and inside on the base it is stamped 'JT S03' in very old looking scroll.
I shall have to site the round one and then plant, or I won't be able to move it !! It ha been one of those 'you've been framed moments' Must go now and wipe the blood trail away :nowink: thanks again, Mrs B
