I was asked this yesterday:
Do you know what the most popular 10 herbs are in the United Kingdom ?
I'll let you know later, no cheating though. :D Mrs Bouquet

Shall I start us off with the easy ones? Mint, sage, rosemary, oregano, basil, chives, parsley and thyme. These are the ones I use most and grow myself.
-
Thats only 8 jaydig, and some maybe wrong. I'll let you all know  Mrs B

Can I add dill and Coriander, I suppose Mustard & Cress could be on the list
-
Coriander is probably on the list +/- dill, tarragon and fennel. Bay leaves get a lot of use here as well.

I only had a quick guess at the eight that came to mind. I must admit I hadn't counted to see how many I'd listed.
-
Lemon grass and marjoram?
-
Are you counting both types of Parsley (flat and curly) as different entries?
I'd add chilli to the list of entries.
-
Marijuana must be up there? Tea must be number 1

Well done folk, This is what they are :-
Mint, Basil, Parsley, Tarragon, Bayleaf, Corriander, Rosemary, Dill, Thyme and Lemon Grass.
29 WI Ladies did this Zoom Quiz and nobody got all 10  So well done if you did, a big pat on the back, etc, regards, Mrs B

Well, there you go - I'd never have expected to see lemon grass in the top 10 ::)

I'm really surprised that sage isn't used more. I use loads of it, but each to their own I suppose. Melt butter in a pan until sizzling. add loads of sage leaves and saute until crispy, then add cooked gnocchi and toss for a few minutes. Yummy - but very bad for you I would think!
