The weather forecasts have fallen into their recent years pattern now. Constantly promised rain in 5 days, however when the 5 days arrive, it's moved to 5 days further away. I dont want to spoil people's fun so steady rain for a few hours 1 night per week would be enough. Our veg plots would appreciate it I'm sure

We were forecast that too but now nothing but hot, hot, hot. Checking my local forecast it says it will now rain next Friday. As we get nearer this will move to the next Friday. The pattern continues..

We were watching the local news and someone had written in and asked Karl (Carl) Tyler why he never gave out a forecast for the Island.  He explained it as he would have to give a minimum of nine with eleven as the maximum as it depended on which 'corner' of the Island you live.   I can be sun bathing here in East Wight and Paul working in West Wight has a thunderstorm and torrential rain.

All major sporting events in the UK to be disrupted by the weather today. I used to joke they should hold the test match cricket at my local club as they can be certain it wont rain

We have had a week of steady light rain up here in South Ayrshire with intermittent heavy downpours without warning. Today the forecast was light overcast yet we have had showers on and off.

I did manage to get out, pick the Black Currants and get the fruit cage back on to protect the Red Currants till tomorrow. The fruit cage has been upgraded from nylon net to galvanised steel wire weld mesh. No pesky squirrels are getting in now!
