Hi all I have a compost heap 6feet by 4 feet and wondered what I could grow on top of it when levelled out next year

Courgette, marrow, squash/pumpkin and ridge cucumbers are the usual suspects

If it was me, I'd spread the compost over the plot and share the goodness. For super-greedy pumpkins etc. dig a hole anything from a foot to two feet cube, fill with the compost and grow in that. I think you'll get 'more bang for your buck' that way.

We always plant toms in big 10"pots, then stand them in trays for watering/feeding.

And we always use half our own compost in the bottom, topped up with something like Jack's Magic, as we're convinced that some old stuff from the garden adds to the general well-being and flavour of the plants and the toms!

Then do as Mum and Christine say, you'll certainly have some left!
