I've got 30 crowns of Backlim ready to plant (and thank you for all the planting help previously given) and I've now also got 10 crowns of Purple Pacific that my neighbour doesn't now want.   Question is - can I plant them next to each other?  Backlim is an F1 and Pacific isn't.  It would make sense to put all the asparagus together but I won't if it might cause problems.
I'm hoping to get them put in this afternoon, as long as it's not downpouring!! (Got to get them in before the snow  :tongue2:)
Thank you! :)
Lotty holder since Aug 09... I've FINALLY finished clearing it! On with the p.lanting  ....

Unless you intend keeping the seed for sowing, then I should see no reason why they can't be grown in the same bed providing you give them all ample room for the roots to spread out.  You will after all, just be harvesting the spears  ;)
Failure is only a temporary change in direction to set you straight for your next success.
Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.
