Hello, please can someone advise, I have just got three rescue hens, they were 'free range', even so they are missing feathers, 2 are laying every day the third however hasn't yet! they eat, drink, and scratch looking more healthy everyday, but they sleep in their nest boxes, a perch is provided, but they arn't pooing at night and as I was told this was when they should poo alot! during the day the poos look fine and lots of them!

I'm still new at this and have 4 hens, some mornings there is hardly any poo and others I have to clear the entire floor.  I would think if they are looking better and pooing and eating during the day they are ok.

When hens are on the nest they can `hold it in' until they go outside. Broody hens do HUGE poos when off the nest.

Lucky you if they dont poo indoors....no mucking out!!!
