Hello
I have been lurking on the site but this is my first post :) I am new to growing flowers but have launched myself into it by sowing seeds madly and potting up dahlias. I have a 4 tier plastic mini greenhouse which has loads of different seedlings in it and the dahlias. Suddenly today the little shoots on the dahlias and some seedlings have been eaten :( The evil creature has destroyed the marigolds, zinnias and one sunflower and eaten the dahlia shoots but all other seedlings are untouched. Do you think it could be earwigs? If so, what should I do?

Seems unlikely to be earwigs tbh
Possibly snails or slugs, as they are devils for dahlia shoots and French marigolds
A few slug pellets will soon let you know if they are the culprits

Thanks for the tip. I'll try some and hope that works.

To check for earwig's fill a 3in pot with straw and leave it propped upside down. check it in a couple of day's and see if they are spending the day in there.

Thanks for that tip too. I'll try that as well.
