Title: buddliea in pots
Post by: mrs bouquet on May 10, 2013, 13:26
I want to grow some minatures in tubs.  Given that they will normally grow anywhere, and do not have too many special requirements, what do you think will be the best growing medium for me to buy. ??  Thanks,  Mrs Bouquet

They will grow in whatever they can get their greasy mitts into :) Basic soil/compost mix would be fine given that they are perennial and will comeback each year.

For long-term permanent planting, go for John Innes Number 3.  It has the highest soil percentage of those range of composts.

Like any pot plant, will need watering, but other than that, they should grow fine.

I had a full size budlea in a pot, grew well & flowered fine.
