Title: Tyres for TROJAN 'TORAKTOR' Mk1 1957 3.00x10"
Post by: Tim Sargeant on August 27, 2017, 10:25
I am trying to source some tyres for a Trojan 'Toraktor' Mk1 1957. These were made by the TOR Equipment Co at Croydon which was an offshoot of Trojan Vehicles. The Mk1 was really a childs' ride-on toy but was sold as an early market garden tractor.
Trojan later made a larger machine, the MkIII, which had a selection of other equipment to go with it, rotavator, harrow, snow plough etc, and a reverse gear which was widely sold into the market garden and allotment world.
The Mk1 had 3.00 x 10" rear tyres. Does anyone know what rotovator used this size tyre or a source of supply please. Also would anyone have any parts in their shed for one of these Trojans?
My restored Trojan was stolen from our garage some years ago and despite a lot of publicity has never turned up.
I am trying to gather enough parts together to build a replacement. Thanks for any help. It would be better if anyone could contact me on my email please as I won't be returning to this site on a regular basis. Tim  (at)  Permanden .co .uk (Remove gaps etc) TCS.
