Title: coffee grounds

got some coffee grounds used off my mum can I put them on my potatoes, or onions,or is there anything else good to use them on.

Ive dried them in the past and used them to deter slugs.  I can't say it worked very well.  I chuck them all on the compost pile filter bags and all.  I think some people grow mushrooms on them but I've not tried this.

My wife bought me a mushroom kit for my birthday recently. Reading the blurb and the growing medium is coffee grounds, laced with mycelium.  They're growing like the clappers in the utility room at the moment.
