Hi, I moved up the waiting list and finally got a plot in November. Completely blank sheet plot as it was unused land next to existing plots for some years, luckily not overgrown though. Currently a little intimidated by it 🤣
It's on a floodplain, which can occasionally be up to 5ft underwater. So it's going to take some careful planning. I have many questions, which I'll try to post in the relevant sections.

Welcome to the forums and congrats on your new
flood plain lotty ;) :D
Do make sure you take piccies of your plot when you first start, as it's sometimes useful to look back and see what progress you've made :)

Hello from another Worcester type! I take it you're based at Pitchcroft allotments then if you get flooded?

Welcome to the forum :)
TBH, I'm surprised that the land is let as suitable for allotments, if it floods that badly. Is flooding a regular occurrence or very rare?

I've seen a few photos of folks allotments on Facebook lately, some of them its even too wet to grow rice, literally under a foot of water!

Yep, pitchcroft. Do you have a plot there?

The allotments have been there for many years. I've always seen them and people still seem to find ways around the floods. It's just more considered in how to adapt I guess? Last year it was underwater quite a few times :(, and was over Christmas and New year too.

No, I used to have a plot on the Battenhall site. If that ever floods the whole country is doomed!
