Supporting my poatoes
« on: June 12, 2008, 12:15 »
I have some Kind Edwards growing in my garden at the moment. The downpour we had yesterday has caused a few of them to literally collapse. I think this is because the soil is so wet and the plants themselves are now about 4 feet tall!

I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Is it ok to just leave them or should I get some canes and support them?

It might be worth pulling some soil up to give them extra support rather than tying them. Although you could put a couple of canes in the ground and tie string between them as support.
