Title: lemon trees

does anyone grow their own lemons?
i'm tempted to try this but i don't want to spend £50 or so quid and find they don't fruit well in this country i live in south london so its not to cold!

I think you can do OK with a lemon tree here in a pot as long as you can keep it frost free + in the winter by bringing it in to a conservatory or heated greenhouse.
You can grow anything with a heated greenhouse and lots of money for fuel!

thanks john, any type i should get, any recommendations? it would be kept on the patio and brought in in winter, would the central heating make it to dry?questions questions!!! :roll:

I've got a Lemon bush. Had it for about three months. Its got little tiny fruits on it at the moment. Got no experience though so will be watching this thread.
