Yes he has no tomatoes
« on: August 03, 2009, 22:45 »
My fellow gardener has asked me to upload a picture of his sad looking tomatoes. It's mildew isn't it? If so I don't supposed there is anything to be done about it is there?

That's blossom end rot caused by a calcium deficiency or sporadic watering.  Not fatal, just needs a change of watering regime.
Cheese makes everything better.

Not blight. I agree with Ice.

If it was blight it wouldn't just be at the blossom end of the fruit.

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Yep, also agree with Ice. Doesn't look like blight but sure looks like blossom end rot.

The two green ones nearest to the camera could just posssibly be blight. Agree with everyone else about the rest, definatley blossom end rot.
Sets a low standard and fails to achieve it.
