I have so far had Babs, Salt and Pepper, Ginger and Dill, but have resisted naming my 5 light sussex and 2 welsummer.  The rir and ancona have missed out on names to as they are easily identifyable.  The c/legbar cockerel is Buster as he is huge and gorgeous, then we also have custard and cream the two ancona cockerals (prob for the pot) and a rir cockerel whose only just decided what he is so hadn't been named, but will probably be kept

I started off with Elvira (Mistress of the Dark - the name just makes me laugh) and Blanche and Bianca (both pure white) Then Sylvana (renamed Sylvio when she/he started to crow... (and he did like to bunga bunga)  Carmen and Imelda (Marcos) then joined the coop (also known as the Ugly Sisters because they picked on lovely Elvira because she was so much prettier than them)  then joined by Napoleon and Josephine - so named because he was rather runty looking cockerel when I got him (but is now certainly making up for his lack of stature by his lovely tail feathers and Kajagoogoo style ruffle on his neck....)

Our newest girls are called Amber, Daisy, Rosey and Pip. Our 3 new exbats are Orange chicken, Green hen and Pinky (named after their leg rings.

I have 2 new ex-batts, one was quite perky so the dozy one had to be pinky. ;)

 Orange chicken is a monster I can tell you, she is a terror to all others. She is lucky to be that and not Korma the way she's going!  Beak bits and a little time in isolation should sort her out though.

Well I watched a drama on Beatrix Botter just before I got my first hybrids, I decided I wanted a white chicken and to call her Beatrix!  Unfortunatly when I went to get them they had no white chickens left, but I stuck with a theme of Victorian names thus:

Arrabella
Winnifred
Clara

Followed 3 years later by:
Florence
Henrietta

(I still haven't got a white chicken called Beatrix, but one day I will!)

Then recently I got 3 pekins - so I decided a different theme was needed as the Victorian theme was for egg layers.  As 2 of them were millifleurs I decided on a flower theme for their names, thus introducing:
Poppy
Primrose
Snowdrop (she is white - lol)

I like themes in pet names...

Well, further to my previous posts, as well as Florence we now also have Hinge & Bracket who joined us on Saturday (will post some pics later when back from work).

I remember watching Hinge & Bracket with my grandmother back in the 70s & when somebody suggested the names to us for the hens on the weekend  & I thought they'd be perfect!

Nigel John the Chicken :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Is that a cockrell or named by very young child?

I know everyone laughs when we tell them her name.  And yes named by a five year old (now 6) with a wicked sense of homour!

Our 8 year old (then 7) named his first Chicken (Chicken sadly no longer with us) Bunny Rabbit the Chicken after his fav cuddly toy which he has had since he was a baby! Bless!
