my little poppet has been quiet for a couple of days
had an exploratory myself today as she felt swollen - thought she was egg bound
couldn't feel any egg but she was very hot - been to vets and we both agree it looks like egg peritonitis :(
going to try antibios and anti inflams but not an easy thing to beat - at least if she doesn't make it her last days will be sunny and warm
going to say a little prayer tonight

ive got everything xd for you, hope she makes it ive never read up on this but i will now xxxx

How is she today?
hi - she has been on anti bios for a couple of days and she is showing signs of a slight improvement , she feels less hot internally and is eating & drinking by her self
but she is not her usual bubbly self yet so I am hopeful that when we have completed the course of anti bios she maybe more comfortable - but I am aware egg peritonitis is a hard one to beat :(
but I am keeping positive for now
daft how attached we get to them isn't it

Saying prayers in France too.
Hoping she will be OK.

I'm afraid she didn't make it :(
as I expected she went down hill :(
today she wouldn't eat and just wanted to lay under the bush with her eyes closed :(
so we did the right thing and ended her suffering this afternoon by asking the vet to put her to sleep :(
said I wouldn't cry ( but I did :( ) cheerio my little poppet xxx

Ahhhhh so sad. I am sure she will have had a much better life with you looking after her.
Bye bye Poppet. x

Ever so sorry to hear about little Poppet. I had one go the same way a couple of years ago and yes I cried too.
You did all you could have done for her, that's the important thing.

Sorry to hear that

Always sad when a pet dies & nothing wrong with shedding a tear. Just goes to show how much you cared & took your responsibilities as an owner seriously. (((Hugs)))
