Title: Rotovator ID
Post by: Dragonfly on August 30, 2007, 16:36
Hi Everyone

I am trying to identify a rotovator for a fellow allotmenteer.  The rotovator although now engineless did I believe have a 7hp Villiers engine.

I do have photo but cannot work out how to load it with this message.  If you can help, please do PM me and I will send the photo.

Many thanks in advance.

Here's another attempt. This technology is harder than digging out couch grass! (http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee186/SummerGateway/Rotavator.jpg)

Thanks for this. It looks like it may have to have a motor bike engine fitted after all.

Hi Shaun

That would be great and very much appreciated.  If you could get a positive ID on the beast my fellow allotmenteer would be delighted and of course a fix on an appropriate donor bike engine would make transplant that much easier.

Thank you

the book in this link features your machine

How are you going to keep the motor bike engine cool?. All the mower and rotavator type motors are governed and have a fan built onto the crankshaft for cooling.

Shaun
Once again many thanks for all your efforts.  Given the potential problems of cooling a bike engine mentioned by someone else perhaps my fellow allotmenteer's best move is to try to find a replacement engine "like-for-like".

Thanks

my darling wife has hijacked aforementioned book and I recon you have a Landmaster Kestral. 14" rototiller and 3 gears. Originally came as standard and deluxe having 3 and 4 hp engines with the deluxe having the big power plant and a reverse gear @£115 new
