Brugmansia (Angels Trumpet) question.
« on: April 25, 2010, 00:56 »
My one year old brugmansia has thrown out a shoot from the base, do I leave it or take it off. Thank you in advance.

it's ok to leave it on...it depends if you want a bush or if you would like to keep the tree effect....entirely up to you....assuming the old growth is still healthy :)

Getting all serious again, I've a Brugsmania in-ground- it started off in a pot and struggled a lot cos it needed a heck of a lot of water. Having got bored with trying to keep the thing damp, I stuk it in th ground and away it went - 4 ft in a season and stacks of flowers. It then died down over winter and this spring  up it came again with about 4 shoots and so we await the outcome! Whatever it is, it'll be lovely :D
