The photo needs to be attached to this thread.

As stated in the rules, voting will not take place until 24th May, when a poll will be created from the entrants. There may be many photos none of us have seen yet, so it's only fair to judge when you've seen them all.

Aunt Sally, your picture just reminded me of some amazing houses on the island of Madeira. They were really spacious surprisingly.  I'm 6'3 tall and could stand up in then and they even had a second storey in some.

You're both very kind, thank you.

It does look ok from several yards. But I would do things VERY differently second time round. Having seen some others, I can see better designs and methods. I wish I'd actually planned it rather than make it up as I went along. Ho hum. We live and learn.

Thanks Jenny - you're a star!  :D

The pallets that the shed is standing on have started to rot in the middle, hence the lean. It makes getting stuff in and out fun, as the door only opens 6 inches or so before it sticks on the pallet, then I have to stand on one of the rotten boards to dip it out of the way and open the door further - which in turn tilts the whole shed another inch or so!!! Once the door is open and wedged on the top of the pallet the whole thing is quite sturdy though!

That is indeed mummy of your little chick!! She is currently undecided whether to be broody or not.
I was holding alvin - her husband the other day and one of the neighbours saw him head on over the fence and obviously said the first thing that came into her head - 'ohhhhh - is that a pet monkey??'
I can see what she means with colour and fluffiness - evidently us having a pet monkey would not be a surprise to the neighbours (and they are the ones we are getting pigs with!! )

Last minute entry.. as it was only finished today!

Re-cycled hutch we were going to freecycle ;), now a chicken coop and fresh 'look' designed and painted by our 9 year old daughter Erin - with a tiny bit of help on the outsline paint of the hearts but she drew them herself. :D All paint found in shed and wood used from what we have to go to the dump or be recycled. :)

Now proudly occupied - or will be when it gets dark by our two new chooks (first ever I must add) Scarlet and Shimmer. :)

Paid a recent visit but trod on something that looked a bit like lollypop sticks made into a fence.

It's outside my mates house

Kowalski and Wiśniewski, the builders started renewing the roof in February but work is now suspended until Kowalski (the roofer) has the pins removed from his femur.

They are very cheap, their work is excellent and i'm assured that they are usually reliable.

That structure is why they are cheap, a Brittish firm would not dare to errect it I think a building inspector would condem it out of hand.

Hang on Kowalski and Wiśniewski are cousins  and British born and bred,  their grandfather was a spitfire pilot during WW2 prior to that he worked in the circus.

I worked with 2 Poles when I started out. One British born, one a wartime immigrant.

Was it the Battle of Britain film that had the Polish squadron in ?

Yes, the training squadron that went into battle against the poor wingco's orders. It's the bit when he realises they've all gone off to attack the Nazis and says "Oh Hell!"

Hilarious. I could watch that film every Sunday afternoon.

I used to love listening to the Polish engineer at work on the phone to his brother. It was just absolute rubbish he spoke. All w's and s's. With the odd English word thrown in. Brilliant engineer.

Our neighbour was Polish chap. He was going a bit senile but would tell us of his childhood, stealing food from dead bodies to survive. Heartbreaking.

Mind you, when I go through the town centre and they're all chatting in those Eastern European languages I feel like I'm James Bond on a mission in Russia. Oh, OK - more George Smiley than 007

We are supposedly 25% Eastern European here but I have serious doubts.

It does make it seem slightly more cosmopolitan. And they're the only ones with some money to spend. It is nice not to have to listen to mundane conversations when you can pretend they're speaking about something more exotic than the weather.  :)

And I refuse to believe all the bad publicity they, or any representative of ITV, may have had.
