Hi Leon and welcome.
I'm no expert and hopefully one will be along shortly but I have read on here that you can sooth her eye with cold tea. If she's a bit down in the dumps maybe some anti-biotic eye drops and general anti-biotic from the vet is called for.
Good luck.
El.

Hello and welcome  :)

Sorry to hear about your hen.  I am wondering if she could have a little bit of an infection.  Does she have a temperature?  You take this by feeling under the wing of one of your other girls then under hers to see if she feels warmer.
You may need to take her to the vet for antibiotics.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Hi Leon - just read another person with similar problem and they suggested saline solution....you might want to scroll through other topics and find it. Is she looking listless and floppy? It might be more serious if so ...anti biotics or vet.   I had a hen which separated herself and went downhill rapidly (no eye problem though) and lost her feathers and I couldn't save her sadly.

Isolation might be key til she picks up and/or you know what is wrong (my brother has kept hens for over 20 years and advised this to me at the time).  They naturally remove themselves from the rest if they think there's something wrong it seems.
