Just got a new allotment - and will have to do a lot of clearing but that's not what I am looking for advice about.
Its not with other allotments, it is at the back of my 'local'. The landlady is letting me have it and one of the conditions is provide some stuff for her pub/restaurant. I will discuss what veg with her chef but I was thinking about some cut flowers for the restaurant. I don't have much experience with that sort of stuff but suggested to her sweet peas, dwarf sunflowers and dahlias though I think the later maybe a bit pricy.
Any suggestions ( space is quite limited).

As you said sweetpeas.
I also got a packet of Country Garden seeds from B&Q about £1.50.
Lots of different flowers, which the wife cuts for home.

Calendulas are dead easy to grow, are prolific, and cheap. They resemble daisies but are usually orange and yellow. They're annuals from seed and will reseed themselves usually.

Cosmos are similar in daisy-like appearance, but different again. And very easy to grow.

But I think it's a bit late to start these before frost gets them.

Dahlias are nice, but they can be pricey. Dahlia seeds lean more toward the short varieties.

It's a bit late for this year but try growing them from seed. I bought a packet of 75 mixed dahlia seeds and every single one germinated.

You say space is quite limited, what size are we looking at? You'll need a fair bit to provide any sort of veg for a restaurant. You can provide a lot for yourself over a period of time, but a restaurant will want some all at once.

Try Kings Dhalia seeds, last year I had plants around 4' high with masses of flowers all summer long, I mixed them with Asters and the house was a riot of flowers up until the first frosts.
