John's potato planting guide is here, showing distances between seed and rows

2 rows of 8 spuds in each bed but it'll be tight, it may be easier to grow through black polythene rather than earth up.
Faff free zone!

Probably best to grow the rows short ways on rather than try to get 2 x 8 fy rows in.
i.e. 4 x 3ft rows either 3 or 4 seed potatoes per row.

You could of course do as many farmers do and plant 2 rows 10 inches apart along the 8 ft length and earth them up as one 3 ft wide mound.

Why is row spacing wider than between plant spacing?
