bottom end rot

bottom end rot

noticed one of my plants has bottom end rot , should i ditch the said plant and soil , am i causing said bottom end rot , i do tend to deluge plants with water .
need a prompt reply please
also my tomatoes are not doing well the leaves have a yellow veining as well , hubby says too much water .

What type of plant are we talking about, Chrissie.
Toms may be two things, too much water or lack of nutrients in the soil. What did you plant them in?

BER is not a disease - it is due to conditions - dry then wet then dry etc can certainly bring it on.
All these moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

thanks for the replies , they are my totem tomatoes , just not doing well at all , they are in pots and the weather is so hot i have given them a lot of water , and the leaves are greeny yellow , Ive been feeding them with the stuff you get here but its all blue for everything roses , toms , just not having a good year .thanks for the replies .
